Earthclinic.com is a great place to go for remedies for people and pets. Check out the section on apple cider vinegar. It helps with fleas, urinary problems, and it kills germs. I put a little in all…Continue

People who use the internet (and love cats and dogs) mostly know not to use Hartz and Sargents BUT there has been no  real proof by  a vet or someone important.

I got our local Savemart and Petsmart to remove Hartz but can't get anyone else to because all I have is owners tales about what happened and big companies want PROOF.  is there any where to get the proof we need?

Don't use Hartz products on your animals or the treats.  It is a harmful product that has been killing our furr-kidds for over 20 years.

I'm having a problem with my youngest cat and the one I just brought home. He chases her as soon as he sees her and she hides under the recliner for a long time. I've tried the pheromone thing with placing socks in each others bed with the other kitty's scent on it and rubbing them with towels and then rubbing the other with the others towels to put their scent on each other. Nothing is working right now, I keep them separate except when someone is home to monitor the behavior. Can anyone give me some ideas?

Sharon, I use mineral oil on my Ragdoll & NFC. You don't need alot, it softens it so it don't hurt them so bad coming out of the hair. Then when I have the majority of it out I just brush comb it. Then a warm washcloth with just a dab of soap to remove any slight oil residue. It works for me. Sorry it took me so long to post, been real sick for days : (

I get my Tetra from F & S. But does NOBODY have any suggestions as to what I`d posted? I`m surprised...I`d thought this, of all places, would be the place...

It sounds like she may have caught a claw in the eye. I try to keep a tube of Terramycin around for eye issues such as that or conjunctivitis or weepy eyes. Check out Doctors Foster and Smith catalog. I also order from Pets-Megastore in Australia.

Hi Cindy

It was in the inside corner of her eye-it was all red & runny with a bit of pus but it seems to have cleared up now. I dont understand it-she seems to be fine now..

Lisa, is it the eye itself or a sore near the eye?

I'm looking for some help for my Sabrina...She was out the other night & it seems she may have been in a fight or altercation with another cat. She now has a sore eye & trying to clean it is a nightmare. Any suggestions?

I've been using Cosaquin for my 17 year old Ragdoll. It really seems to be helping with her arthritis. Some days I notice she seems to be getting around much better then others, but since I've been using it she seems to be doing much better.
