wow, reading all of these posts made me teary eyed. i am very fortunate to say my cats are still young and hopefully have alot of life ahead of them. But you never know when anyones time will come. I joined this group to support all the ppl who have lost their loving companions. i couldnt imagine the pain and living everyday without seeing my joanna or sadie around. some ppl in the world dont understand how important cats or pets ingeneral can mean to someones life. but they are family, and sometimes the only ones you can really count on... and trust. My heart goes out to everyone whos suffering a loss. Know there are ppl who care and understand. I do.

Carlos  our beloved boy we miss you. You were here too quick and gone leaving us with only bright memories.  A cat's cat and mighty fine hunter, you belonged to the woods and to us for awhile.  love mom, Ms. Chloe and Gino

RIP Morrissey 2/10/08 and Smokey 16/3/06. I can't see you but my living cat Sooty can, i wish i could see you. You're both in Heaven chasing furry mice and having lots of treats. One day i will see you both again. Thankyou Morrissey for giving me regular dreams about you. Smokey, the road took your life but God has your spirit. And special thanks to my best friend Fay who died in 1998, for looking after my 2 furry boys. Morrissey and Smokey, my babies, you live forever in my heart.

I lost my beautiful companion, Princess two years ago. She was 14 and pale yellow , beige and white long haired. She was my beautiful baby and not a day goes by that I don't think of her. She would let me fall asleep with my hand on her belly. I have her illegally buried in my back yard with a stone and flowers and I love visiting her daily. She is missed dearly. I will try to find a picture on disc..... I love you Princess...

It never gets any easier - I was almost afraid to get another orange tabby, it seems through the years, these guys have all had some drama befall them at an early age, even being neutered, they had wandering eyes and loved trouble!  I'm praying my Reilly will live long and grow old with me! (though I'm already 3/4 there..lol)

across the years have had to let more than several of my special cats slip softly away - its always difficult and always different - be they the seniors who could no longer stay after a long loved life, the siams/orries suffering from cancers/tumours or my or lilac and her havana daughter who both lost their fight against mammary tumours ... the worst was when we lost five from a final siam litter of six, despite all the tlc, the constant checks, cat scans, they could not stay in this life - but one newborn held the hopes high, we hand reared him, hes a sweet lilac siamese called Carlo ...

Thank you for your comment. My Tobi was only 4 years old and had gone missing for a week over Halloween and we had feared the worst!  He finally made his way home from somewhere and looked as if he had been badly abused or maybe got stuck in someone's shed.  I was so happy and sad at the same time.  Vet told us he was going into kidney failure and would lose use of his rear legs; after a few days at vet, we brought him home to be with us in his last days, I fed him baby food and water with a dropper and put his litter close to him.  The picture is of him laying on daddy's chest about 2 days before we had to let him go.  I'm so glad we brought him home, he actually showed progress for a short period but, whatever happened to him, had done way too much damage.  I still call my new O'Reilly in my profile pic, Tobi, he's never far from the heart.

I lost my Ike a few years back. He looked just like your Toby. Expect for mine only had 1 eye. He was 23 years old and he was getting so frail that the vet said it was time. We had him creamated and have his ashes in a urn with his collar and blue bell on top of it. We also put a picture of him on the front so as to never forget him. I feel him around at times. We do miss him alot.

In loving memory of my young tabby, Tobi.  Your brother Sammi misses your companionship and I am glad I made the decision to bring you home and nurse you at home with your family and lots of love and attention.  You came to me in a rough time of my life and gave me hope and joy... you will never be forgotten and forever be loved.  Rest in Peace, my beautiful Tobi, boy.  Love, Mom
