His full name was Lord Butterscotch Puttie Garfield Toffee Cheshire Gingerlump Friedman the 1st. Butterscotch because he was ginger, Puttie coz he's a cat, Garfield after the ginger cartoon cat, Toffee coz he was ginger, Cheshire coz he grinned a lot, Gingerlump because he was a big ginger lump, and Friedman because that's my last name. Lord was his title as he thought he was royalty and was king of the house, and the 1st because he was the 1st cat with that name in our family (also the only cat we had with that name, and probably the first cat in the world to have that combination of names.) Quite a mouthful!!

She got her name from when she was a kitten and no matter how hard i tried, she always wanted behind the tv to get where the wires were... um no! She is very loud when she wants something and when she is in a playful mood she runs down the hallway, skids to a hault and then runs the opposite way. LOVE HER! My other cat is Pumpkin, she was already named that when I got her, but it fits her well being orange and all, and a sweety pie who purrs really loud and has a very quiet meow, very adorable!!!!!

Comment by Miki Estep on January 30, 2012 at 7:18pm: My tortoiseshell cat is named Cami, which is short for Camouflage. She blends into my brown furniture and wood floor. My grey tiger is called Nibby. That is short for Nibbynose, because she is into everything.

My previous cat was a tuxedo named Remington. The rescue group we got him from named him that, because he had been shot with a Remington 22 rifle.

Comment by Daryl G. Frazetti on January 30, 2012 at 8:55am: I had my first cat, Garfield , when I was younger - I loved Garfield! He sometimes lived up to that too! Then after he died, I found Junior - another red boy that was named for him. Junior is wild and wooly , yet so loving - a real red boy! Jasper was my cream and white. I was holding him at the shelter and the name just came to me. No idea. He was a real leader in the house. So sweet and friendly. Then came Jeffrey - again, no idea how the name came to me - it did. He came as a small kitten rescue - and should have been named Denise the Menace! :D Very michievious ! :D So I call him Jeffie the Menace! :D Miss Kitty, no longer with us , came with the name Kitty - I called her Miss Kitty - a tortie that was all lady! Then came Cami - she also came with this name and is an 8 yr old longhair tortie and white and I am sure the red gene is where she gets her spunk from!
