- How many cats do you own?
- I had four up until recently...My beloved Slinky died right before New Year's Eve of complications from FIV, FeL, & severe respiratory infection. The vets & I tried everything, but it was just his time. I'm heartbroken, but staying strong for the other cats.
- What is your favorite cat breed and why?
- street cats & strays...they need love and a home.
- Tell us about the cats you love: names, ages, colors, etc.
- Bobby: The king of the house, Black Manx, mellow, very sweet & loving. Very into Friskies snacks & very cuddly and happy. He's very intuitive and I feel he can really read my emotions like a book. He's really my best friend in the world.
Lite Brite (gray tabby): The prince. Bobby's sidekick. More active & playful than Bobby. Loves to birdwatch out the window every morning & loves to cuddle. I absolutely love playing with him. He brings out the joy in me.
Sweetness (looks like cookies & cream ice cream, fluffy dark gray on top, white on bottom, little mask face, so beautiful!: She was adopted some nine months later. The Princess. Older & smaller than the boys (they're quite big), but she calls the shots. She's diabetic, but her illness is under control with lots of daily care. She likes to cuddle too, just in a much more gentle way. And...she's a thief! She stole my heart. :)
Slinky (Orange Tabby: recently deceased): The once and future king. He was an unfixed male that used to hang out with Bobby & Lite Brite as strays outside. I knew Slinky for years as a stray. I adopted & took in Bobby & Lite Brite (who themselves have some health issues under control), but Slinky was much more independent due to his not being fixed. Every time I was ready to adopt him, he would flee.
Finally took him in for about 2-3 months (around Oct 2011) due to cold weather & his apparent illness. We (the vets & I) tried absolutely everything, but he did not survive from complications of FIV, FeL, respiratory infection, severe gingivitis, and he was malnurished when he first came back. I am completely heartbroken that Slinky died. He was my friend. I had him in a sanctuary room & played music for him and sang to him & we just spent quiet time together. I was the only person on Earth whom he trusted & allowed to pet him. I miss my boy so very much. I love my Slinky still & I can feel his spirit with us here at home.

He was a beautiful cat....orange tabbies are so great!
I have three orange tabbies. Gobbles an all orange tabby that i adopted from my local shelter along with his sister holi,a gray long hair cat.Pookie,which you see here in my profile pic,found her near death across the street,she is "the baby" and SuKoshi another all orange male tabby that i took in along with his brother ,they were both very small and ill and needed bottle feedings,sadly his brother did not make it,SuKoshi is now 10 years old : )
I also have a tuxedo cat named Crash,he wandered into my yard as a kitten,in very good shape,i asked around but no one claimed him,that was 12 years ago.
