I don't know what keeps happening, posted stuff and it never shows up. I'm so glad you have the same feelings, some will never know that kind of love...I learned to love animals unconditionally from them, there love is so pure.  when volunteering at my local shelter, I want the animals there to know they are loved as much as I love my animals. I try real hard to find my homeless friends homes, although some may never leave. That saddens me deeply, but for how ever long I have with them, they know they are love and happy. Below is my rescue Alley, I had her for 17 wonderful years, the bond was like no other I've had. She passed some years ago, but I still miss her so. Thanks for understanding and feeling the same way. I volunteer at my local shelter everyday, and some of the things the animals seem to be scared of is troubling...what did these poor creatures go through in their lives. 

I only wish all our homeless animal friends could have a home as good as we give ours . Maybe someday...one can only hope.

I have a tortie that I rescued a little over a year ago, it took her 10 months to venture down stairs, she staied on the landing upstairs, and if anyone came up it was under the bed. Now she lays on my lap on the couch. I love her and my other 3 so much.
