for the love of cats
good news! the 3 strays i have in my yard will become ours! we've caught 2 of them and they are at the vet waiting to be fixed, but have already had their shots, checkup and blood work done. they are officially healthy!! they will be coming home on tuesday evening!! now, it's a matter of catching the 3rd kitty..... she's a real challenge to catch. caught her twice and she brought out the claws...had to let her go. :( she's been alone outside for about 4 days and i know she's…Continue
i now have 3 strays living in my yard. we caught 2 and managed to get them to the no-kill animal shelter hoping they will be adopted. the 3 that are still there are so sweet...two of them lets us pet them and will eat treats out of our hands. the other....well, she is still very scared. anyway, while we are trying to figure out how to get the rest of them to the shelter (the town rules have changed...need the volunteer police involved, long story) i bought flea drops to put on all the…Continue
we have 5 kittens that have taken up residence in my backyard. we've been feeding them for about 2 months hoping to gain their trust so we can take them to a shelter to be adopted. they still won't come by us even with food. they stop about 2 feet away. we noticed one kitten has eye problems. i think she/he cant see well....her/his eyes look terrible. especially the right one. it wouldn't surprise me if she/he were partially blind.

we noticed a few kittens and their momma in the next yard. they are very scared of people, so we are feeding them and giving them water trying to gain their trust. we are hoping within the next week or so they will be able to trust us enough so we can take them to my vet. each year, my vet has kitties available for adoption. people bring them in...either strays or an unwanted litter and the vet will take them in, care for them and adopt them out. i want these little ones and their mommy…Continue
