Losing Katie

I work in a nursing home and we have pets there. Pets that are "shared" by the entire nursing home. We had a big fat gray cat named Katie. We also have a big fat black lab named Molly. Well a few months ago Katie started getting really thin and lethargic. I didnt know what was going on with her but then i found out that she was about 11 yrs old. Cats and Boxes

Will someone please tell me what's up with cats and boxes? As I look at all the great photos, I'm noticing more and more cats in boxes. I had no idea it was such a widespread "thing" among cats.

Maybe it's the security of a box fitting snugly around your body. Maybe it's all about a sense of control. I have no idea. Take a look at all the cats in boxes in the photos and you'll see what I mean.

How to deal with a cat in mourning.

I recently lost my husband of 34 years. Lilly is walking around the house meowing really loud looking for him. I asked the vet how do i care for her? He said it was no way to tell. Getting Frustrated!

Since I moved to a new place my cat is being bad! He is doing things he KNOWS is bad. And won't stop. At the old place if he even thought about it I would make a noise that I don't know how to spell out lol and anyways he would stop. Here though I make the noise and he will look at me and you can tell he knows what he is doing is wrong and does it anyway!

Litter Box Woes

The past few months my cat's litter has been smelling so BAD. I forget what litter we use I know it's instant action. And it works so well. Except for the last few months. Do you think my cat my be sick or something? Like maybe a bladder infection?
