for the love of cats
yesterday evening, i brought home "dot"...a little black kitten, about 4 months old. she was left in an abandoned house and needed a home. well, my "boo" isn't happy with her...or anyone for that fact. we've had boo for about 4 months...she was a stray that also needed a home. when we introduced them last night, all boo did was growl and hiss and her, and us!! before i brought home dot, boo would be all over me, loving me and sleeping with me. now i go to…Continue
Hello Folks! :) well we're all here. why? cause we love our cat's lol. i've been lucky enough to be into photography for more then 25 years now. so what is it that makes the difference between a picture and an image? lighting! it's that simple. i'm a studio guy so i'm used to controlling lighting for just about any kind of shoot. but it's hard to get a cat to sit where you want! (as i'm sure you already know) lol. so what is the best way…
well my Orange cat, Garfield, of 8 years is dying if feline Lukemia. I guess I will have to put him
down in a few days. I just found this out today, on Valentines day, & didn't have the heart to put
him to sleep on this day. I guess I will wait till Thurs.
I am going to soooo very upset.
I sweet cat of 8 years. I love you soo very much Garfield.
i'm hoping somebody can help. boo, my little girl, was spayed this past thursday and i picked her up on friday (yesterday) to bring her home.
she hasn't urinated or had a bowel movement since. i put shredded newspaper in her box and even bought another box and added dust free littler in case she didn't like the paper. i put her near her boxes and she hisses and jumps out and goes to lay down in a chair. i've done some research and it said wait 72 hours. i know it's only been 48…Continue
We had to put our cat Velvet to sleep on Sunday. She got sick about 3 weeks ago and her tests came back normal. They could not do a sonogram or x-ray because she was too sick. Nothing was working. She had likely been sick longer than it appeared since cats tend to hide illness very well and once they start showing signs it's usually too late. I had Velvet for 12 years. I thought I was going to lose her…Continue
About 4 years ago, a neighbor was raided by Animal Control for cat hourding. They had 36+ cats and they were everywhere! They picked on my cats, in my own yard....well, you know the story. After all the dust settled and the cats were gone, I discovered that one of the kittens they had, escaped the cat police. This little kitty, barely weaned, made a home in the roof of a small pump house on the property we live on. This poor little girl was scared to death!!! No one could come near her…Continue
I am very sensitive to animal cruelty and I thought this was cruel until I saw the show live in Chicago. The cats seemed well and didn't seem to mind. They seemed happy. I mean, as far as I know, an unhappy cat would curl up in a corner and be defensive and wouldn't even think about doing tricks…Continue
"I have studied many philosophers and many cats. The wisdom of cats is infinitely superior."
The start of documented cat "cultus" begun when the Egyptians started identifying the lions that roamed around their land with the Sun, they believed that at sunset, Ra, the Sun God, would die and descend through the underworld in the West, to be born again in the East, at sunrise. During the night, however Ra was always in great danger,…Continue

i love my cats and they have made me a member of their community - my 5 boys have all been neutered and are up to date on all vaccines and i keep them free from parasites with my vets help (who is a terrific doctor) - that being said i have a contraversal philosophy on how i keep my little community . . .
i believe my babies are with me because they want to be - they have a cat door and are allowed to come and go at will - i love to observe them in their element being a natural cat -…Continue

Police Say Jeremy Tuffly Tried to Feed a Kitten to a Python, Then Killed It Himself When the Snake Wouldn't
According to police, a Mesa man tried feeding a kitten to a python, and in his infinite wisdom, videotaped it.…
One of my new cats Chumlee (previously named at the spca/affectionately called Lil' princess by me), has learned how to play games. She loves to get petted, get picked up and hugged, and even likes to get some kitty kisses from me on her little head. However she doesn't like to have the affection prolonged and it is always on her terms.
So the other day after working a lot of overtime I settled for some rest on the sofa. My cats have free reign of the house with the only things…Continue
Dear All... The sweet-faced, chubby fluffy cat peeking out from under a brown blanket in one photograph, is the same cat that appears on the petition below as a ghastly, putrefying, incredibly heartbreaking, unrecognizable mess :'( That any innocent animal…

Oh my goodness this is awesome:
Sir Isaac Newton (1643-1727) Scientist and philosopher
Sir Isaac invented the cat-flap, likely so he wouldn't be disturbed by his cats' comings and goings.

I've had kitties my entire life. My first kitten was a little fluffy white with grey spots and her name was Cuddles. When I was 8 we inherited my great grandma's cat Bootsy and she was old, but loved to sit on the kitchen chair all day next to the heat vent. One day my stepdad, a long haul trucker, brought home a little grey cat with a white chest and a grey goatee. He handed the kitten to me and the cat put his…Continue
