So, last year I decided not to put a Christmas tree up due to the fact that Milo was so small and I knew he would climb the tree. This year, I am still debating on whether or not to put it up for that same reason plus Milo has a bad habit of chewing on everything. And, yes he does like to chew on cords no matter how many times I have told him no, put that critter cord stuff around the cords he still chews! So, my fear is if I do put up a tree he will chew on the Christmas lights and…

Well, I took Milo to the vet's Saturday for his yearly shots. It literally scared the crap right out of him. :( Broke my heart. Very disappointed in my vet. She claimed she cleaned him up real good but, that wasn't the case. I was very upset with this. Milo was so scared he growled and tried to attack even me! Once I got him home I tried my best to bathe him myself but, had to yell at the hubby to come help. Poor baby had poo starting to matte in his tail. I had to get him cleaned up. He was…

In honor of Pet Parents Day I thought I would share with you Milo's morning routine.
1) Anywhere from 11:30 p.m.-4:00 a.m. a cup is knocked over into the bathroom sink, or he plays with one of the rugs until one of us wakes up to feed him. This morning the hubby had to! haha ... I guess I'm getting use to it. I never heard him this morning. ;) ...
2) After his very early breakfast he'll run around and around the living room till he wears down. In the meantime I…

Milo was neutered back in September 2011. He will be 9 months old January 30th. He is however I think trying to (and excuse me for saying it this way), hump either my leg or arm.
He's not aggressive about it he starts out as play but acts a little odd with little nibble bites and grabbing on. I always put a stop to it and set him on the floor and say no firmly ... then try to distract him with a toy. I don't ever remember my older cat doing this after being neutered. However, that was…

Because Milo is a growing boy and works off his food through vigorous play he is now at the point of having 3 pouches of wet food daily along with dry food and water available at all times should he choose to have dry food. He is now 8 months old so I am also trying to switch him from the dry kitten food formula to the dry adult food formula (which I really don't think it's going to be a problem switching).
My question is, how many times should I give him wet food? I have been…

The morning of June 17, 2011 my husband and I were up early getting ready for work. Now, my husband usually leaves home around 5:00 a.m. however, that morning he stayed around the house and piddled around on a few things outside. While he was outside, I was inside getting ready. When my hubby then decided to head on into work he came in and we said our goodbyes. Now, I always watch my hubby drive down the driveway since we live on a hill. Well, he drove down the hill and pulled out of the…

At lunch break today I was talking to a co-worker and mentioned that when I take Milo in on Sept. 29th to be neutered I was going to ask if at my vet's office offered microchipping. I keep hearing and seeing stories on the news how families are reunited with their pet because of this microchip ... seems like it would be a good idea.
Well, she had enough gall to say to me. "Your cat never goes outside, why would you need one? No one steals cats!" ... I was shocked at the comment she…

Milo has this thing where in the morning as I get ready for work he likes to jump into his litter box, sometimes use it, then start playing. Either with the litter (yucky!!) or chase his tail. I always say "No, Milo! Out!, Get out Milo!" and point outwards. As if he knows what I am saying. Although, sometimes he listens, other times he just looks at me like "play with me!" ... I don't know how to keep him from doing this. I tried sprinkling water on him but, you know what ... he kind of…

Last night around 6:30 we were getting ready to sit down and eat supper. We normally eat in front of the tv. I decided to give Milo his canned turkey dinner in the kitchen before I sat down. He immediately started munching away! I then grabbed my plate and headed to living room. I took maybe 2 or 3 bites ... and here comes Milo. Licking and smacking his lips and jumped onto the couch (he's learning to jump now!) :) ... and tapped my arm with his paw. I said "You have your dinner in the…
